FAQs About Embryo Donation
- Were your embryos created at SGF?
- We will only accept embryos created and continuously stored at SGF
- What are the age requirements for embryos?
- The eggs used to create the embryos must have come from someone under 40 years old at the time of retrieval, unless the embryos underwent preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) and were confirmed as euploid (chromosomally normal), or the eggs came from an egg donor.
- There is no age restriction for the sperm source.
- How many embryos can I donate?
- We accept donations of as few as one embryo.
- What are the requirements for the embryos themselves?
- The embryos must have been frozen at the blastocyst stage (day 5 or day 6).
- Only embryos frozen in 2009 or later are eligible for donation.
- Did you use a sperm donor?
- If yes, do you have a copy of the sperm donors profile from the sperm bank?
- You will be asked to upload a copy of the sperm donors profile, to include his genetic carrier screening
